Visitors are invited to contribute by painting the various elements which make up the total project.   These have ranged from putting hand prints on an elephant to painting one tile which, when added to all the other tiles, has created a large picture following the theme for the year.

The Urban Saints usually  enter the carnival parade complements the art project but not in 2022.

]]> https://www.dormanslandbaptistchurch.org.uk:443/3/Carnival Scarecrows dormanslandbaptistchurch_13227 Thu, 10 May 2018 13:41:59 +0100 As a prelude to the Carnival, members of the village create and display various 'Scarecrows' around the village in all sorts of unlikely places. They are fun to make and even more fun to try and find them all as each year, they can sometimes number 30 or more.

Our local postman knows where they are and occasionally we have had comments from the milkman who delivers really early and forgets where they are. They quickly remember when the shape looms out of the darkness as they run down the paths.

They havn't dropped the milk... Yet! 

All the submissions are judged as to who has been the most creative!
